Strategic Partnership between Abacus and Circos Brand Karma Helps Leading Hotels Drive Measurable Results from Social Media

Abacus has formed a strategic partnership with the leading brand analytics and management company - Circos Brand Karma, for the hotel industry. With this partnership, Circos Brand Karma will integrate real-time Abacus Hotel bookings data with brand insights culled from social media tools to provide an up-to-date analysis on customer sentiment, key influencers as well as hotel performance.

Abacus’ top hotel customers can leverage on the Brand Karma tool to gain access to deep analysis and interpretations of online conversations about their properties gathered from social media channels in multiple languages, integrated with live Abacus booking data. These insights will help deliver actionable results that hotels can use to develop its social media into a profitable distribution, service and marketing channel.

Illuminating Asia - Abacus Shows the Way at IHIF 2010
The 2nd International Hotel Investment Forum Asia Pacific (IHIF Asia Pacific) 2010 was held at the pre-eminent meeting destination - The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel from 14 to 16 Jun 2010. Sporting the theme of “Illuminating Asia”, the event saw a good turnout of over 350 attendees from various sectors of the hotel industry.

In addition to the Abacus’ showcase of solutions and services for the hotel industry at the Forum, Abacus’ Vice President (Marketing) Brett Henry shed light on the growing significance of social media and its impact on distribution together with Circos Brand Karma’s CEO, Morris Sim. Abacus also announced its partnership with Circos Brand Karma at this event, and elucidated how this strategic initiative will help hotels drive measurable results with social media.

Brett also sat on the keynote panel with other industry experts as they shared and discussed on the topic - “The Hard to Ask and Harder to Answer Questions about Hotel Investment: When You Are in the Glare of the Headlights”.

The month-long promotion, which ran from 15 Apr 2010, quizzed travel agents on their knowledge of the Abacus Hotel Graphical User Interface.
