Robert Bailey is President and Chief Executive Officer of Abacus International ­ Asia¹s leading provider of travel solutions and services.

Robert joined Abacus in 2008, bringing with him a wide range of experience in general management, senior strategy, business development and marketing roles in the travel industry.

Robert¹s career in travel distribution includes a variety of roles with a Europe based Global Distribution System (GDS) where he was also responsible for developing the company¹s network of National Distribution Companies with airlines worldwide. Most recently, Robert was Senior Vice President and Managing Director at ITSMA, a professional services company specialising in technology and services marketing.

Joining Abacus at a time of change in the economic front, Robert recognised t
he growth potential of Asia and emphasised the importance of having an active dialogue with the markets to stimulate the region¹s travel industry towards new developments.

At Abacus, he led a strategic change within the company to focus on key business segments. Seeing the importance of building relationships in the region, Robert has also furthered Abacus¹ long-standing relationships with key partners and customers through a series of exclusive and highly sought after industry forums.

A British national, Robert has a long-term connection with the Asia Pacific region having spent his childhood in Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. His work responsibilities in earlier roles also saw him spending time in Asia.

As Chief Financial Officer, Peter Gammon has overall responsibility for Abacus' financial management. This includes spearheading strategic and financial planning, management and statutory reporting, controllership, tax planning, treasury and risk management, legal, administration, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and strategic operations of Abacus and its subsidiaries.

Peter brings to Abacus more than 25 years of experience covering a full spectrum of strategic and operational financial activities. He began his career in 1981 as an auditor in a leading audit firm and went on to undertake various finance roles with leading organisations. For 12 years, he managed the financial operations of a multi-national company in the IT industry with US$1billion sales operation in South East Asia.

Immediately prior to joining Abacus, Peter was the Chief Financial Officer for Asia Pacific for a global relationship management company based in the United States.

Peter holds a Bachelor degree in Economics and Accounting from University of Newcastle, UK and holds certificates of Chartered Accountancy from UK and Canada.

Brett Henry is Vice-President of Abacus International's Marketing Division where he leads product and content marketing for both agency and airlines, Corporate and Marketing Communications, Market Research as well as Training. He also has overall responsibility for the company's business in India in his role as Vice President India.

Brett brings to Abacus more than 15 years of travel industry experience with a focus on marketing, business development, and driving productive relationships. He has held leadership roles at companies across the travel distribution value chain including airlines and global distribution systems.

Albert is the Vice President, Product and Solutions Development Division at Abacus International, reporting directly to the President and CEO, Robert Bailey.

As Vice President of Product and Solutions Development, he takes overall responsibility for the management, development and delivery of the entire portfolio of Abacus International's solutions, which is the backbone of the global distribution system business.

Prior to his current position, Albert was the Director of Fares and Pricing, where he was responsible for the Fares Line of Business, an integral part of the reservation business.

Albert joined Abacus in 1990 and as the company grew and expanded, Albert played instrumental roles in the IT area. He has also held management positions in Management Information Systems and Network & Operations. In 2000, Albert spearheaded the Information Technology Division as a member of the Senior Management Team.

Albert took on the challenge to grow Abacus' presence in Asia's emerging markets in 2004. He was based in Thailand as the Regional Director for Indochina and Central Asia, responsible for aligning and driving Abacus' marketing and business development plans with the National Marketing Companies (NMCs) in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Central Asia.

With more than 20 years' experience in various functions in the GDS industry, Albert is adept at understanding the business operations and the related challenges faced by the travel industry.

Albert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with Honours (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of South Carolina, USA. He is a Singaporean, married with a child and enjoys cooking and light music in his spare time.

Danny Kondic is Vice-President for Channel Management Division, reporting directly to Abacus International President and CEO, Robert Bailey.

Danny is responsible for overseeing the operations of all the Abacus National Marketing Company (NMC) across Asia with exception of India. His role includes sales, marketing, product deployment, customer services and business development. In addition Danny also provides support to and looks after the relationship with Abacus' global customers in Asia.

Danny brings with him over 20 years of experience in the travel business. He has experienced a varied and exciting career globally with proven results in top level sales, marketing, key customer management, strategic planning and change management within the major international airline environment as well as in the agency, wholesale and content side of the travel business.

Having spent over 10 years of his career being based in Asia, Danny has developed an intimate understanding of the dynamics of doing business in Asia. Danny started his career with Qantas, Sydney, Australia, and was the General Manager of Worldwide Sales for Malaysia Airlines. He subsequently moved on to Kuoni Travel as Managing Director, based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Abacus, Danny was the VP, North Asia of Gullivers Travel Associates (HK) Ltd.

Danny holds an MBA, International Business & Marketing from University of Technology Sydney.

Married with two children, Danny is an avid collector, restorer and lover of classic cars and motorcycles, owning a 1965 convertible Mustang and several old Vespa scooters as well as being a soccer fan, having played semi-professional soccer in his younger years.

John Lim is Vice-President, IT & Operations. He is responsible for Abacus¹ entire technology system and network infrastructure, including communications management, global network management, connectivity provisioning, data centre and systems, Management Information Systems and office automation. He is also responsible for Abacus fares operations to business partners and directs the Abacus customer service team. John joined Abacus in 1990 and helped manage the development of various programmes including Transaction Processing Facility (TPF) development, IT applications, frequent flyer and loyalty programmes, information management as well as the business development and implementation of the company¹s fares strategy.

Prior to joining Abacus, John was responsible for branch operation and system and planning of a large local financial institution. With more than 20 years of experience in IT development, operations and management with both financial and travel industries, John has gained a deep understanding of the challenges, issues and opportunities the industry faces.
Helen Sim is Director of Human Resources at Abacus International and reports directly to Abacus International President and CEO, Robert Bailey.

As Director of Human Resources, she is responsible for Abacus¹ human resources management. This includes talent acquisition, employee retention, career development, human resources administration and organisation development of Abacus and its wholly-owned subsidiaries.

Helen joined Abacus in October 2005, bringing with her more than 32 years of extensive experience in human resources and administration, including 20 years in regional roles. She has held various corporate, regional and local operational HR roles with Fortune 100 companies, including the world's top soft-drink company, and one of the world's largest diversified technology, media and financial services company.
Ho Hoong Mau is Director of Airline Distribution Division where he has overall responsibility for managing relationships with airlines. He leads Airline Strategy & Business Development, Information Marketing as well as Airline Account Management to drive strategic sales initiatives to ensure maximum growth of airline accounts.

Hoong Mau brings to Abacus more than 13 years of travel industry experience with a focus on general management, regional marketing and market development. Prior to joining Abacus in 2005, he has held several leadership positions with Singapore Airlines in key business functions.

Hoong Mau holds a first class honours degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.

Rani Francois-Marie Saad, Director, heads Corporate Development in Abacus International and leads mergers, acquisitions and joint-ventures for Abacus.

Rani brings with him extensive experience in the Aviation Industry. He has had held management positions within European airlines such as Air France and KLM. He was actively involved in the merger between Air France and KLM.

No stranger to Asia, Rani was first posted to Singapore in 2008 whilst with SITA as Head Airports Sales for Strategic Solutions for Asia Pacific & Middle East. Rani had also spent some time in Africa helping a Chinese holding company to start up a commercial airline and an executive jet company in Singapore. Prior to joining Abacus, Rani founded and became partner of Novem Holdings Pte Ltd, Singapore, which provided consultancy services to the aviation industry.

Rani holds a BSc in Economics, Msc in Economics and Msc in Supply Chain Management from Sorbonne Universités, Paris and where he is currently a part-time lecturer for Travel Strategy and Luxury Goods Management.
